The standard UK issued number plate that ships with all new cars. Like all modern UK number plates, the front number plate has a White background with Black text, whilst the rear number plate features a Yellow background.
UK approved 2D number plates feature flat text that lays flush against the surface of the plate.
All DVLA registered supplied plates must feature reflective material, no background patterns and a number plate must be marked with the following information: the British Standard Number, the name, trade mark, or other means of identification of the manufacturer or component supplier, the name and postcode of the supplying outlet.
3D Gel Number plates are made by adding layers of poly resin to standard characters, giving them a raised profile from the surface of the plate. All our 3D plates are made to the highest possible standard and are all approved for use by the DVLA.

3D Gel number plates are 100% road legal and all of the options and specifications that Pl8 Factory offer are made to British Standards (BS AU 145d), making them MOT passable and entirely road legal.

Arriving in high gloss piano black the 4D characters are bonded to your plate surface using the strongest industrial adhesives available, making them resistant to pothole vibrations, and pressure washing hoses.
