Mount your front number plate without ever putting a drill into your bumper. This
front magnetic number plate holder kit includes 4 plastic brackets and 8 strong
magnets, purpose-made for holding a UK number plate firmly in place — secure enough
for everyday driving, and quick to remove by hand whenever you need to.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
Each kit includes 4 plastic brackets and 8 magnets. The brackets are lined with a
strong adhesive tape on the plate-facing side, which bonds directly to the back of
your number plate, and a 1.0mm neoprene foam layer on the bumper-facing side. That
foam layer is what keeps the magnet from ever touching your paintwork directly — it’s
soft, cleans easily, and spreads the magnetic contact evenly rather than concentrating
it at hard points that could mark the surface over time.
HOW FITTING WORKS
For the vast majority of vehicles, fitting a front magnetic number plate holder
properly means removing the front bumper first. This isn’t a “peel and stick” job —
the magnets need to sit correctly against the metal behind your bumper’s plastic
outer shell to get a secure hold, and on most cars that metal isn’t accessible without
taking the bumper off. We’d rather tell you that clearly upfront than have it be a
surprise once the kit arrives. Full fitting instructions are included in the box, and
if you’re not confident tackling it yourself, most local garages can fit a kit like
this in a short session.
Once fitted, day-to-day use is exactly as simple as you’d want: press your plate onto
the magnets to attach it, and pull it away by hand whenever you need it off — for
cleaning behind it, swapping to a show plate, or just giving your bumper a proper wash.
WHY CHOOSE MAGNETIC OVER DRILLED OR ADHESIVE FITTING
A traditional drilled or screwed number plate fitting is permanent — once the holes
are there, they’re there, whether you sell the car, swap the plate, or change your
mind about positioning. A front magnetic number plate holder avoids that entirely.
It also beats plain double-sided tape or adhesive pads for one simple reason:
removability. Tape holds a plate in place, but taking it off again cleanly (without
damaging the paint or leaving adhesive residue) is a genuine hassle. A magnetic mount
gives you that same drill-free result while keeping the plate genuinely removable for
as long as you own the car.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
The neoprene foam pads can be cleaned with warm soapy water and a soft microfibre
cloth — avoid anything abrasive, which can wear down the foam faster than normal use
would. Check the magnets periodically for any grit or road debris caught between the
bracket and the bumper, since a clean contact surface is what keeps the hold strong
over time.
FRONT ONLY — WHAT IF YOU NEED THE REAR TOO?
This kit covers the front plate only. If you need your rear plate mounted the same
way, see our Rear Magnetic Number Plate Holder Kit — or if you’re doing both, our
Magnetic Set covers front and rear together at a better combined price than buying
each kit separately.
MADE FOR PL8 FACTORY CUSTOMERS

together. Free UK postage applies to every order.

## Updated FAQ (added 2 more — now 6 total)
“`
Do I need to remove my bumper to fit this?
On the vast majority of vehicles, yes. It’s not a job you can typically do with the
bumper still on the car. If you’re not comfortable doing this yourself, a local
garage can usually fit it in a short session.
Will it damage my bumper’s paintwork?
No — the neoprene foam layer sits between the magnet and your bumper, so there’s no
direct contact.
Does this kit cover the rear plate too?
No, this is the front plate only. See our Rear Magnetic Kit, or save by buying the
Magnetic Set for both.
How do I clean the foam pads?
Warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth — don’t use anything abrasive.
Is a magnetic number plate holder actually secure at speed?
Yes — properly fitted against the metal behind your bumper, the magnets hold firmly
under normal driving conditions. The neoprene layer keeps contact even rather than
concentrated at one point, which helps maintain a stable hold.
Can I still remove my plate after it’s fitted?
Yes — that’s the main advantage over a permanent fitting. Once the brackets are
mounted, the plate itself presses on and pulls off by hand any time you like.
